MAGA CREW SHOWING ITS GOOFY SIDE AGAIN AND AGAIN

If a politician makes a moronic remark, one that leaves you wondering what they could possibly have been thinking, odds are the terms Republican and MAGA are in the picture somewhere.

There have been two pretty good examples just this week.

Rep. Derrick Van Orden of Wisconsin got drunk in his office Wednesday night and took some constituents on a tour of the Capitol building.

In the rotunda, they came across a group of Senate pages, high school students celebrating the end of their year as pages by taking photos of the beautiful ceiling. When Van Orden came across them, he started yelling at them abusively.

This one doesn’t really come under the heading of what was he thinking. Hes a right-winger, he got drunk, so he behaved abusively toward a group of children.

What happened to Rep. Nancy Mace is entirely different, a perfect example of the hypocrisy of the MAGA crowd.

Mace, 45, represents the South Carolina coast in Congress, and she was scheduled to appear as one of the guests at a prayer breakfast for Tim Scott yesterday. She made it on time, but told what she thought was a cute story about how she almost didn’t make it.

Her alarm went off at 7 a.m., she said, and her fiance reached for her with the idea of enjoying morning sex. As Grace put it.

“Patrick, my fiancé, tried to pull me by my waist over this morning in bed, and I was like, ‘No baby, we don’t got time for that this morning. I gotta get to the prayer breakfast, and I gotta be on time.'”

Nancy Mace

Cute story, sure. But for a prayer breakfast?

Mace’s “cute story” didn’t go over well with the MAGA crowd.

Florida Congressional candidate Lavern Spicer was blunt about Grace’s morning.

Grace has been married and divorced twice, and is living with the man she intends to make her third husband. This really isn’t an outlier. A recent study said the average American woman has sex with seven men in her lifetime. The same survey said American men have sex with six women in a lifetime.

That’s a lower number than 30-40 years ago, probably because of behavioral changes due to AIDS, but even those lower numbers are unacceptable to the MAGA/Jesus crowd. I never thought of myself as particularly active sexually, and I was completely average by the old numbers.

I couldn’t care much less about Mace social life, but I find it repugnant that some of the most judgmental people among us seem perfectly willing to give Donald Trump a pass on any kind of perverted and repugnant behavior imaginable.

Back to Mace, though.

What possible motive could she have for talking about her extramarital sex life in her introductory remarks to a prayer breakfast?

Just goofy, I guess.
