IF IT WASN’T SO AWFUL IT WOULD BE HILARIOUS

Say what?

I suppose this news shouldn’t surprise me. After all, we are taking about Republicans here, but when expected Trump voters were asked if they would believe something told to them by Donald Trump, their own family and friends, conservative media figures or religion figures, guess what.

Well, he does love the poorly educated.

In fact, among potential primary voters who feel honesty is very important. 61 percent said they would choose Trump over other GOP candidates.

This may not be as horrific as it sounds, at least the part that has Trump on top of the list.

Think about it:

Friends and family? I trust my own friends and family to tell me the truth, but the Trumpanzees don’t know my friends and family. In some cases, their friends and family may not even be able to read.

Conservative media figures? I wouldn’t presume to say Sean Hannity, Ann Coulter, Tucker Carlson or Laura Ingraham are less trustworthy than Trump, but these folks are the curdled cream of the right-wing media crop. I couldn’t say Rush Limbaugh is less honest than Trump, but he has an excuse. He’s dead.

Religious leaders? I don’t think this rating is fair to Jews, Buddhists, Hindus, Muslims, Catholics or mainstream Protestants, and the Trumpanzees have trouble believing anyone other than their fundamentalist, televangelist types.

Here’s a look at the overall poll.

The hat? It’s a contradiction. Their cult leader said the object of the quote was “too honest,” but they apparently disagree. They trust the man he called too honest less than they trust him. That has to be driving Tup Pence literally nuts.

Of course, maybe he understands.

He is after all a Republican.
