Donald Trump loves to tell the story of his late father Fred informing him there are only two types of people in the world.
Killers and losers.
Freddy taught young Don that you did whatever you needed to do to win, because being a dishonest or even a criminal winner was better than being a loser.
His desperate need for his dead father’s approval — Fred Trump died more than 25 years ago — is one reason he was so humiliated by losing to President Biden in 2020. It’s why four years later that despite losing by more than 7 million votes, Trump insists the election was stolen from him.
In fact, he has been known to say that without illegal votes he could have carried California, where he only got a little more than a third of the more than 17 million votes cast.
I wonder what Freddy would have said about that.
At age 78, Donald may be only a few years from reuniting with Freddy in the afterlife.
Each of us can believe what they want about which afterlife that will be, but I will guarantee one thing. If Donald loses to Kamala Harris, his greatest fear will be what Freddy will say to him.
“You lost to a woman? A black woman?”
“But Dad …”
“You’re a loser.”
