It would be nice if everything here were free of charge, but of course that’s not true. Many of them are sites I pay to read, but of course that’s up to you. Here are various sites of news, opinion and just wonderful writing.
One Voice II (onevoiceii.blogspot.com) is the predecessor to this site, with seven years of on-and-off blogging. It’s free.
Washington Post (washingtonpost.com) is a pay site, but it’s worth it to me to read one of the finest newspapers in the world.
Atlanta Journal-Constitution (ajc.com) is a mixture of paid and free. It’s as close as it gets to being my local paper, historically one of the finest in the South.
New York Times (nytimes.com) is limited free, unlimited pay, for what is still the finest newspaper there is.
The BBC (bbc.com) is wonderful for those who want a non-American perspective of the news.
Twitter (twitter.com) is a lot more than just Trump. When I tweet, it’s as @aminutewithmike.
The Onion (theonion.com) is still the king of satire and humor on the Internet.
Wonkette (wonkette.com) takes great pride in being the snarkiest, nastiest political site around.
